Bindeshori, Kirankumar take up key posts in KIO

Imphal, June 19 2025:
Two prominent officials from the Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association (MAKA) have been appointed to key positions in the Karate India Organisation (KIO), reflecting the state's growing stature in the national martial arts arena.
Renshi Soibam Bindeshori Chanu has been elevated to the role of assistant tournament manager under the Referee Commission of the KIO, for the upcoming term commencing June 15, 2025 .
Prior to this, Bindeshori served as a member of the same commission.
Chanu also continues her role as a member of the KIO's Women and Sexual Harassment Commission.
In another significant development, Hanshi Kirankumar Thangjam has been re-appointed as chairman of the Technical Commission of KIO .
This marks his fourth consecutive term in the role, underscoring his longstanding contribution and leadership within the national federation.
MAKA has extended its congratulations to both officials, expressing pride in their achievements and wishing them a successful tenure ahead.
