CAU team wins medal at Agri-university Sports Meet

Imphal, May 16 2025: A 22-member team from the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, took part in the 22nd All India Inter-Agri-University Games and Sports Meet 2024-25, held from May 2 to 5, 2025 at Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

According to a press release from the CAU Imphal, under the guidance of the university's director of instruction, the team competed in a range of sporting disciplines, showcasing notable athleticism, discipline, and team spirit at the national-level event.

Among the standout performances, Balchimsa R Marak earned a bronze medal in the women's discus throw.

In team events, CAU's men's badminton and women's table tennis teams advanced to the quarterfinals.

The university acknowledged the dedication of both the athletes and supporting staff, noting that such participation underscores CAU's ongoing commitment to fostering sports and holistic development among students.
