Double gold for Hemansu as aquatic meet ends

Imphal, May 12 2025: The 38th State Aquatic Championship 2025 organised by Manipur Swimming Association (MSA) at Khuman Lampak Aquatic Complex concluded on Monday with finals of seven competitions decided on the closing day.

Hemansu Nahakpam bagged two gold medals in Boys' Group 3 100 metres and 200 metres back stroke events with timing of 01:12.19 and 02:29.25, respectively.

The silver went to Soram Pietersen (01:24.15) and bronze medal to Viban Sairem (01:37.505) in the 100 metres back stroke, while Koijam Athoiba Singh (02:32.31) won the silver medal and Laitonjam Punghen (02:42.13) finished third in the 200 metres back stroke.

The other top three winners are as follows:

Boys' Group-2 (200 metres free style): S David 02:10.23; M Pravesh (02:17.05); and Leoking 03:16.145 .

Group 4 (50 metres free style): Luching Sarungbam 00:37.051; Yoihen Sarangthem (00:40.5); and Vibek Lemba 00:40.62 .

Group 3 (200 metres breast stroke): Pieter 02:54.731; Pumhen 02:56.28; and RK Yoihenba 03:40.303 .

Group 3 (100 metres breast stroke), Maisnam Arendam 01:20.72; Soram Pieterson 01:21.34; and Laitonjam Punghen 01:23.24 .

Girls' Group 3 (100 metres free style): Luchingbi Shoubam 01:15.71; Christina Mangang 01:17.354; Langlen Akoijam 01:23.30 .
