Hockey: Bidyaluxmi's late double seals victory for Manipur

Imphal, July 06 2025: Huidrom Bidyaluxmi Devi struck twice in quick succession to guide Manipur Hockey to a convincing 2-0 victory over Hockey Karnataka in their Pool A fixture of the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women's National Championship 2025 (Division B), held at MGH, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The contest remained goalless through the first three quarters, with both sides locked in a tense stalemate.

However, Manipur found their rhythm in the final quarter, showing remarkable composure and clinical execution.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 56th minute when Bidyaluxmi successfully converted a penalty corner, giving Manipur a deserved 1-0 lead.

Moments later, she struck again, swiftly doubling the advantage and effectively putting the result beyond doubt.

Despite Karnataka's spirited attempts to mount a comeback, they were un able to penetrate Manipur's resolute defence, which was expertly marshalled by goalkeeper Wakambam Rajpriya.
