AR organises friendly volleyball matches

Imphal, July 22 2024: Assam Rifles organised friendly volleyball matches for the villagers of Shakpao in Ukhrul district as part of the ongoing efforts to promote sportsmanship and discourage insurgency among the local populace.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that villagers of Shakpao participated enthusiastically, with 52 attendees, including members of Shakpao village volleyball team and local authorities.

The AR team emerged victorious, winning two out of three sets.

Following the match, AR soldiers engaged with the villagers, commending their participation, it said.
