NCA, KSDO complete quarterfinal lineup of MNCA Boys' U-14 Tournament

Imphal, February 20 2025:
The quarterfinal lineup of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25 is now complete, with NCA and KSDO sealing their spots following commanding victories on Thursday.
At Khudeiband Lampak, NCA dominated YPHUC with a resounding 101-run win.
Batting first, NCA posted a total of 154 before being bowled out in 27.4 overs.
Key contributions came from Ngangom Likash (33), Thingbaijam Avinash (24), Anderson Naorem (16), and Thiyam Bikash (14) .
For YPHUC, Konsam Mangai was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets, while Purujit Mutum and Loitongbam Joychandra took two apiece.
Jangammei Maringmei, Yaioiba Ningombam, and Loitongbam Tomthinganba chipped in with one wicket each.
In response, YPHUC struggled against NCA's disciplined bowling attack and were dismissed for just 53 in 17.5 overs.
Only Purujit Mutum (10) managed to reach double figures.
Ahenba Longjam was the star performer for NCA, taking six wickets, while Thingbaijam Avinash and Thongam Rahul contributed with two wickets each.
The emphatic victory secured NCA's place in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, KSDO registered a convincing five-wicket win over PTCC at PTRC Ground to claim their quarterfinal berth.
PTCC, batting first, were bundled out for 100 in 25.1 overs.
Md Adanan Raj spearheaded KSDO's bowl ing attack with four wickets, while Abu Sufiyan took three.
Mohammed Gunbas and Kh Firdos also contributed with a wicket each.
Chasing 101 for victory, KSDO reached the target in 21.4 overs, losing five wickets along the way.
Kh Firdos led the chase with an unbeaten 36, supported by Mohammed Gunbas (16*), Sheikh Anzar Ahmed (11), and Abu Sufiyan (10) .
For PTCC, Lanngamba Ningombam and Hirachandra Laitonjam claimed two wickets each, while Harishor Mayangbam picked up one.
The quarterfinal fixtures on February 22, 2025, will feature AMCA Thoubal competing against KSDO Kiyamgei, while RCA Lilong will face NCA Nambol.
On February 23, AKSDO Khangabok will go head-to-head with Al-Ameen Lilong, and YWC Langthabal will take on SHADOW Thangmeiband.
