State Sarit-Sarak athletes felicitated

Imphal, May 18 2025:
The Sarit-Sarak Association, Manipur, organised a felicitation ceremony on Sunday to honour the state's athletes who were crowned overall team champions at the 2nd National Sarit-Sarak Championship 2025, held from April 17 to 20 in Kalanaur, Haryana.
Team Manipur concluded the championship with a remarkable performance, securing 45 gold medals and six silver medals, amassing a total of 243 points to clinch the overall title.
Notably, Leishangthem Diana Chanu was adjudged the Best Fighter of the tournament.
The felicitation event was graced by Khundrakpam Zilla Parishad member Usham Indrakumar Singh as the chief guest.
Also in attendance were Sarit-Sarak Association Manipur president and grand master Laishram Lashamon Singh, who presided over the event, along with guests of honour including Chaphamayum Ningol Leima, ward member of Haraorou Tangkham Makha Leikai; Nameirakpam Jiban Singh, president of the Sarit-Sarak Federation of India; vice-president Ningthoujam Ibohal Meitei; and deputy grand master Thiyam Kora Singh.
