Football Lovers, FC Kangsang, Dingdong Bell prevail in Sora Cup

Imphal, February 15 2025: Football Lovers, FC Kangsang and Dingdong Bell registered contrasting victories in the 1st 9-a-side Sora Cup 2025 on Saturday.

Football Lovers delivered a dominant 4-1 triumph over Paobitek FC.

Despite an early setback with a 9th-minute own goal, Malem quickly redeemed his side by equalising in the 11th minute.

A defensive error by Paobitek in the 20th minute handed Football Lovers the lead, which Peter extended in the 28th minute.

Malem sealed the emphatic win with his second goal in the 31st minute.

FC Kangsang edged out SMFC 4-3 in a thrilling, back-and-forth clash.

Afridi struck first for Kangsang in the 3rd minute, but SMFC surged ahead with goals from Nikash (22nd) and a teammate (24th).Roshan levelled the score in the 25th minute before Afridi's second strike restored Kangsang's lead.

Roshan added another in the 31st minute, and despite Shir Nibash's late 38th-minute consolation goal for SMFC, Kangsang held firm for the win.

Dingdong Bell claimed a straightforward 2-0 victory against AAFIYA FC, with Keidong (25th) and Turn (28th) scoring in quick succession to secure the three points.
