15 athletes claim gold medals on Day 3 of State Thang-Ta C'ship 2025

Imphal, July 06 2025:
15 athletes claimed top podium honours on the third day of the 34th State Sub-Junior and Senior Thang-Ta Championship 2025, currently underway at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom.
In the Phunaba Ama competition, Kh Nepolian Singh of PAHULASI, Mayaikoibi, clinched gold in the -25kg category.
Th Henthoiba Singh (NKSFI, Tentha Heibung), Thoihenba Naorem (IKTTCA, Moidangpok), and Ch Johnson Singh (Iroishemba Thang-Ta) emerged as champions in the -29kg, -33kg, and -37kg categories respectively.
Other gold medallists included O Jinata Meitei (BDHLTTA, Kakyai) in -41kg, Ch Naresh (Iroishemba Thang-Ta) in -45kg, L Rajesh (MNTT, Heirok) in 49kg, and Th Rajesh Singh (BDHLTTA, Kakyai) in -53kg .
In the +53kg category, Kh Rohan Meetei of MMAA, Moirang Kampu, secured the top podium spot.
Meanwhile, in Phunaba Anishuba, Meiraba Thongam (PAHULASI, Mayaikoibi) struck gold in the -25kg category.
Khagemba Soubam (ICASA, Konung Mamang) triumphed in the -29kg event, with Th Rieko Singh (Paree Imom, Langjing) and M Rohit Singh (LKTAS, Kangmong) securing victories in the -33kg and -37kg events respectively.
N Nelson Singh (ACHIPA Thang-Ta) and Y Malemnganba Meetei (UHLA, Samurou) topped the -41kg and -45kg divisions.
The competition continues until 8 July.
