Manipur Hockey mourns former VP

Imphal, August 14 2025: Manipur Hockey has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of its former vice president S Sobita Devi.

A condolence meeting was held at the association's office, where members observed two minutes of silence in her memory.

Widely respected for her kindness, generosity and dedication, Sobita Devi made significant contributions to the growth of hockey in Manipur, leaving a lasting legacy in the sport and the community, said a press release from Manipur Hockey.

The association conveyed heartfelt condolences to her family, describing her loss as a great blow to the hockey fraternity.
