AKSDO (W) emerged victorious by 13 runs against FORCE in the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy in their encounter at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak, on Thursday.
Batting first after winning the toss, AKSDO posted a modest 128/7 in 35 overs, but their disciplined bowling attack stifled FORCE's chase, bundling them out for 115 in 34.1 overs.
Skipper Langlen Ningthoujam's decision to bat first initially backfired as FORCE's bowlers struck early.
AKSDO lost wickets at regular intervals, but opener Daina Moirangthem anchored the innings with a patient 42 off 85 balls.
Contributions from Laishram Linthoi Chanu (12) and a staggering 62 extras - including 52 wides�propelled AKSDO to a defendable total.
FORCE's bowlers, led by Farjiya (1/20) and Wakila Shani (1/18), kept the pressure on but struggled with wayward deliveries.
