Manipur CP Football team call on Governor

Imphal, October 25 2025: Dr Ricky Laishram of the Spastic Society of Manipur, along with members of the Manipur Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Team, who recently brought laurels to the State by securing the 2nd Runners-up position in the 3rd National CP Football Tournament held in Goa, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, today.

The team members shared their experiences and expressed their commitment to promoting sports among differently-abled persons in Manipur, said PRO Raj Bhavan in a press release.

They also highlighted the need for inclusion of disability sports in the State Sports Policy, emphasizing equal opportunities and greater institutional support for athletes with disabilities, it said.

The Governor congratulated the team on their performance and heard their issues, it added.
