Five teams prevail in Kakching Subroto football tournament

Imphal, May 24 2025: Five teams registered victories in Saturday's U-15 boys' fixtures of the Kakching District 64th Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025, held at Lamjao playground.

Amutombi Devine Life English School delivered a commanding performance, thrashing Sanatombi High School 4-0.M Rakesh opened the scoring in the 9th minute, followed by Kh Hemanta's strike in the 18th.L Samuel extended the lead just before halftime (25+2'), and W Lan sealed the win with a 32nd-minute goal, ensuring a dominant display.

Martin Grammar Academy outclassed Iramdam Maheikol Academy 3-0 in a one-sided encounter.

M Shahid (13') and N Kartex (14') struck in quick succession before an own goal by Ksh Somokanta (17') compounded Iramdam's misery.

In a thrilling turnaround, Victory English School came from behind to defeat Grace Reach Academy 3-1.M Seitaraj (30') gave Grace Reach the lead, but Tulshidas (41') equalized before Ringkal's brace (43', 46') secured the win.

Elang Keinya High School clinched a hard-fought 1-0 victory over H Keinahal Memorial School, with M Banti's 37th-minute strike proving decisive.

The day's final match saw Kakching Model School edge Lamjao High School 1-0, courtesy of an unfortunate own goal in the 49th minute.
