AKSDO demolished Al-Ameen by 8 wickets in their quarterfinal match of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25 at SEDOC Ground on Sunday.
AKSDO's disciplined bowling attack skittled Al-Ameen for a meagre 79 runs in just 21 overs.
Bidyasagar Khundrakpam spearheaded the rout with three wickets, supported by Bidyananda Ningthoujam's two scalps, while Chingamba Elangbam and Shailesh Khundrakpam claimed one apiece.
Al-Ameen's innings faltered catastrophically, with six batters dismissed for ducks.
Only Maibam Ashique (37) and Shohei Akter (21) offered fleeting resistance.
In reply, AKSDO chased down the target effortlessly in 16.3 overs, propelled by an unbroken 48-run stand between Kh Korounganba (26*) and Bidyananda Moirangthem (22*) .
Openers Chingamba Elangbam (4) and Borish Khu-drakpam (7) fell early to Jor Khan and Ashique, but their dismissals proved inconsequential as AKSDO cruised into the semifinals.
Meanwhile, YWC clinched their semifinal berth with a hard-fought 20-run win over SHADOW at Khudeibam Lampak.
Asked to bat first, YWC posted a formidable 243/6, powered by half-centuries from Mujamin (62), Sayonba (60), and Pukhrambam Bonison (55) .
Daniel Seram (19) and Irom Lancheba (8*) chipped in late to bolster the total.
SHADOW mounted a valiant chase, spearheaded by a scintillating 154-run opening partnership between Kh Devis (98) and Sagatpam Telheiba (56) .
However, the middle order collapsed under pressure as YWC's bowlers struck decisively.
Sayonba and Mujamin starred again with three wickets each, ably supported by Daniel Seram, Kelvinson Khoisam, and Leishangthem Chingthang, who claimed one wicket apiece.
SHADOW were eventually bowled out for 223 in 30 overs, falling agonisingly short of the target.
