AR organises volleyball tournament in Bishnupur

Imphal, July 17 2025: In a bid to promote youth engagement and healthy living through sport, Assam Rifles organised a volleyball competition in Ishok village, Bishnupur district.

Held in collaboration with local sports bodies and community leaders, the event drew enthusiastic participation from five village teams.

The tournament witnessed spirited performances and strong community support, with teams from the Youth Progressive Club (YPC) Ishok - namely YPC Ishok, YPC Ishok - Team A, and YPC - Team B - claiming the top three spots.

Ward members and Assam Rifles officials attended the event, presenting trophies and prizes to the winners.

The local community expressed appreciation for the initiative, praising Assam Rifles for providing a platform that encourages unity, teamwork and the development of young sporting talent, according to a PRO IGAR (s) release.
