State powerlifting body condoles demise of Ibempishak

Imphal, June 16 2025: The All Manipur Powerlifting Association on Monday expressed profound sorrow at the passing of Huirem Ibempishak Devi, a distinguished international and national master gold medallist.

In its condolence message, the Association noted that Ibempishak Devi was the first international master powerlifter from the state to secure a gold medal at the Asian Powerlifting Championship 2018, held in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

In addition to her international success, she had also garnered numerous medals at national-level master powerlifting competitions.

The Association extended its heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family and shared in their grief at this significant loss.
