Four state cricketers in 15-member NE Zonal squad for Duleep Trophy 2025-26

Imphal, August 12 2025: Four state players have been named in the 15-member North East Zonal squad for the upcoming BCCI Duleep Trophy 2025-26, with an additional two players placed on standby.

The selected players from Manipur are Pheiroijam Jotin Singh, Yumnam Karnajit, Lamabam Ajay Singh, and Bishorjit Singh Konthoujam, while Rajkumar Rex Singh and Pukhrambam Prafullomani Singh have been named as standby players.

In the support staff, Ngangbam Maheshkumar Singh will serve as the team's masseur.

The Duleep Trophy, which marks the opening of the 2025-26 BCCI domestic season, will see the North East Zonal team compete against other regional sides in one of India's most prestigious first-class cricket tournaments.

The Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) expressed elation at have the highest representation in the squad among all North East states and extended its best wishes to all players and support staff for a successful and memorable tournament.
