Jr Girls' NFC : Ronika nets twice as Manipur open league campaign with 5-0 win

Imphal, September 11 2026: Sagolshem Ronika scored a second half brace as defending champions Manipur kicked off Dr Talimeran Ao Junior Girls' NFC Tier I Group A campaign with a 5-0 win over Chhatisgarh at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh yesterday.

Manipur got off to a flourishing start and raced to a 3-0 first half lead thanks to a goal apiece from Laitonjam Linthoi Chanu (17'), Agunwangliu Khengtamei (24') and Mayengbam Narmada Devi (27') .

After a dominating first half, Sagolshem Ronika Devi took the charge of the scoring spree and quick-fired back to back in the 67th and 71st minutes to complete the 5-0 rout of Chhattisgarh who failed to come with a proper response throughout the game.

In another Group A fixture, Keralam crushed Uttar Pradesh 6-0 to top the group.

Manipur will play Uttar Pradesh in the next match tomorrow from 9 am while Keralam will face Chhattisgarh later in the afternoon.
