FORCE, PTRC win in U-19 OD Trophy

Imphal, May 05 2025: FORCE, Kshetrigao and PTRC, Patsoi registered easy wins against their respective opponents in league matches of the 3rd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy 2024-25 on Monday.

At THAU Ground, Thangmeiband, unbeaten half-century by Barkatun Khanam (85 runs of 61 balls) and one wicket guided FORCE to a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over PCC, Mayaikoibi.

Batting first, PCC batters could post only 136/9 in 35 overs with Nongthombam Langlenthoibi Chanu (55 of 91) top scoring for the team, as FORCE bowlers Rahmatun Khanam, Wakila Shan and Farjiya (two wickets apiece) and Barkatun stalled the former's proceedings.

In reply, unbroken opening stand by Barkatun and captain Mehanaz (30 of 47) overhauled the target in 17.3 overs.

Meanwhile, Laitonjam Linthoi Devi (four wickets and 17 runs) played a major role as PTRC, Patsoi defeated TCMDC, Thongju-II Pechu Lampak by 61 runs at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

PTRC scored 167/9 in 35 overs with contributions from Laitonjam Purnima (30 of 49) and captain Konsam Sayatombi Devi (24 of 51).For TCMDC, Yensembam Nikita Chanu, Ningthoisana Thoudam and captain Athokpam Tennish Devi (two wicket apiece) and Ch Priyadasni were the wicket takers.

PTRC bowlers spearheaded by Linthoi and Linthoingambi Chanu Laishram (three wickets) ably supported by Laitonjam Tolika Devi (two wickets) and captain Konsam Sayatombi Devi (one wicket) restricted TDMDC to 106 all out in 29.4 overs to bag full points.
