Imphal, July 29 2026: N Pradeshi of Thoubal will fight it out against Imphal West's Khongnang for the U19 Men's -55 kg category title in the ongoing State Level Boxing Championships.

Both Pradeshi and Khongnang registered walkover wins in the semi-finals to advance to the final on the second day of the championships being underway at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena.

The day also saw Konsam Lanthoiba of Imphal East make his way to the U19 Men's -50 kg category final.

He beat Ryan Kayenpaibam of Imphal West 5-0 via unanimous decision to seal his final ticket.

U17 Boys

The day also saw competition of 14 semi-final bouts for U17 Boys.

Fajaba Naorem of Imphal West will play Oinam Rajesh of Bishnupur in the U17 Boys' -48 kg category final.

Fajaba overwhelmed Thoubal's Thongam Rishav 5-0 en route to his final as Rajesh earned a walkover win against M Doleo of Imphal East.

In the -52 kg category semi-final bouts, Moibungkhongbam Lanchenba of Kakching sealed an RSC win over Ukhrul's Worthyso Vashi and Yangambam Srinivash of Thoubal prevailed 5-0 over Imphal East's P Abhinash.

Meanwhile in the -54 kg category semi-final clashes, Nelson Khwairakpam of Imphal West thumped L Bikash of Thoubal 5-0 to set up a final date with Gershom Awungshi of Ukhrul who pulled off a similar win over S Victor of Imphal East.

Later in the -60 kg category semi-final bouts, Kharibam Leishemba of Imphal East secured a commanding 5-0 win over O Arnold of Imphal West to set up the final date with Kakching's Mayengbam Raj who registered a similar win against Bishnupur's N Rohit.

The -63 kg category final will see Bidyachandra Oinam of Bishnupur, who posted an RSC win over Imphal East's L Tony, take on Chandel's Karung Albertson Kom, who knocked out B Mustaque Ahmad of Thoubal in today's semi-final matches.

Leimapokpam Mahesh (-70 kg) of Kaching, Ningthoujam Nikhil (-54 kg) of Bishnupur, Gurumayum Maiken (-50 kg) of Imphal West and M Senson (-46 kg) of Kakching also progressed into the finals of their respective weight categories today.

U15 Boys

10 semi-final bouts for U15 Boys were also decided today.

Newton Gurumayum of Imphal West earned his place in the -52 kg category final with a commanding 5-0 win over Imphal East rival L Punshiba before Bishnupur's Toijam Bidyananda registered an RSC win over Ukhrul's Chihanso Thumra in the other semi-final bout.

Keisham Benjamin of Thoubal sealed an RSC win over M Rohit to set up the -55 kg catory final date with Nahakpam Lamnganba of Imphal West, who registered an identical win over Ukhrul's AS Chuikhaleng in the other semi-final bout.

The -61 kg category title clash will see Irom Bishwas of Imphal East, who edged out Ukhrul's Shangmei Khayi 3-2 via split decision, play Rajkumar Athoisana of Thoubal who overwhelmed Bishnupur's O Santiraj in the other semi-final match.

In the -64 kg category semi-final bouts, Lukram Lilmani of Thoubal prevailed 5-0 over Waikhom Prithibiraj of Imphal West and Chungkham Yoihenba Meetei of Imphal East sealed an identical win over Khangembam Storm of Bishnupur.

Wangkheirakpam Mahesh of Imphal East also boxed his way to the -58 kg category final with a 5-0 win over Saikhom Rojit of Thoubal as Nepram Mangan of Imphal East beat Thoubal's Konthoujam Manilemba 5-0 to earn his place in the -67 kg category final.

The semi-final line up of the -49 kg category were also completed today with Kakching's Soibam Tarunjit getting the better of M Chungkhupthang Kom of Churachandpur 5-0; M Ringphapam of Ukhrul crushing Thoubal's Khundrakpam Sanatomba; Serto Neikhupreng Kom of Chandel thumping Imphal West's Akham Bishorjit and Tensubam Philips of Imphal East getting a walkover win.
