15th AMFA Senior Women's Football League : FC Imphal reign supreme, qualify for Indian Women's League

Imphal, June 29 2025:
FC Imphal defeated Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) 2-0 for the 6th and 4-1 aggregate win to emerge champions of the 15th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2024-25 which also served as the qualifying round for the Indian Women's League.
FC Imphal and MPSC were in contention for the title of the 6-team double legged tournament organised by the All Manipur Football Association on same 18 points from 5 wins and 3 draws in their last 9 matches.
Today's win at Artificial Turf Ground helped FC Imphal, who were enjoying pole position with better goal count and head to head record before their final game today, fired on top on 21 points.
Thongam Reshma starred in the match scoring both the goals in the 17th and the 24 minutes against MPSC who failed to convert their chances in both the halves.
Earlier in the first leg, FC Imphal won 2-1 .
FC Imphal conceded only once going down 0-4 to Youth Welfare Club, Thambalkhong (YWC-Th) in the second leg after playing out a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
MPSC eventually finished league runners up as YWC-Th finished third on 15 points from 4 wins and 3 draws in 10 matches.
Earlier in the day, the Young Welfare Club, Langthabal (YWC-L) thrashed Eastern Sporting Union (ESU), Wangkhei Palace Compound by 3-0 goals thanks to a double from Wairokpam Daina.
Daina found the lead in the 11th minute before Chingangbam Binomala doubled the advantage in the 21st minute.
After leading the first half 2-0 against ESU, Wairokpam Daina found her second goal in the 74th minute 'o complete the 3-0 rout.
Earlier in the first leg, the two sides played out a goalless draw.
With three wins and 4 draws, YWC-L finished fourth in the league table on 13 points as ESU finished fifth on 12 points from 3 wins and 3 draws.
Manipur United FA (MUFA), however finished at the rock bottom with just a win against YWC-L in 10 games.
