48th State Senior Handball YLK in both men and women's finals

Imphal, July 27 2026:
Hosts YLK men and women's teams produced strong semi-final performances to make themselves to the final of the 48th State Level Senior Handball Tournament 2026 .
YLK defeated SSC, Khurai by 29-18 goals in the first semi-final match to advance to the men's final.
L Hemba top-scored with 7 goals in YLK's victory as A Bikramjit and L Beckham contributed 6 goals apiece.
Ng Krishnakanta also netted four goals for the team as K Satish (3), E Priyo (2), and Sahrukhan (1) shared 6 goals.

For SSC, N Robinson scored 5 goals and W Chingkheinganba netted 3 goals as N Zidane, L Gautam, Kh Kapil and I Kenedy added 2 goals each.
N Bhasker and G Raju also netted a goal apiece for the team.
KVWA, Mayang Imphal, meanwhile produced a hardfought 21-20 win over MPSC in the second semi-final match to set up the final date with YLK .
Dayananda led the scoring for KVWA with 9 goals to his name as Premson and Shitaljit netted 3 goals apiece.
Roshan and Thoibi also contributed 2 goals apiece for the team as Samuel and Yaikhomba chipped in a goal apiece.
For MPSC, Th Hemanta scored the highest 5 goals as Y Sushil gathered 4 goals and N Saratchandra, Y Becker Roy and H Ingocha netted 3 goals apiece and N Gobin netted twice.
YLK women's team on the other hand outlasted KVWA 15-12 in the second semi-final match to set up the final date with IMC, Thoubal.
Y Monika added a bulk of 9 goals alone to steer YLK to the victory as Th Bimolata netted 5 and N Sophiya added 1 in the team's 15-12 win.
For KVWA, Likla netted 6 goals followed by two goals each from Debarani and Jenimax and one goal apiece from Jandavi and Naobi.
Earlier in the first semi-final, Th Anjubala slammed home 12 times as O Anjali netted 9 goals and the trio of I Ronibala, T Ranju and H Jenita netted 2 goals apiece to guide IMC 27-16 past MPSC .
N Subibala and Ch Luxmi scored five goals each for MPSC as N Sushila (4) and N Babina (2) shared 6 goals. The final matches are slated for July 29 afternoon.
