Imphal, October 26 2025: Manipur got off to a flying start in the U-19 Women's T20 Trophy Plate Group as they thrashed Arunachal Pradesh by 9 wickets in campaign opener at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Put in to bat first, Arunachal Pradesh added only 65 runs to their tally in the first innings at the cost of 4 wickets and Manipur posted 68 runs in just 12.4 overs with 9 wickets left to spare.

Kanika top-scored with an unbeaten 31 off 36 balls for Arunachal Pradesh as Manipur opted to bat first.

For Manipur, Bijiya Khundrakpam picked two wickets (2/6 in 4 overs including a maiden) as Priyanshee managed one wicket (1/17 in 4 overs) .

In reply, Manipur only lost Kebriya (11 off 23 balls) to Trushna Narkar before L Prena (25 not out off 31 balls) and Taniya Ningthoujam (21 not out off 21 balls) forged an unbeaten partnership of 57 runs for the second wicket to steer Manipur to winning 68 .

Manipur will play Meghalaya in the next match tomorrow at the same stadium.
