5th MNCA Women's Senior One Day Trophy : SHADOW ease past YPHUC by 119 runs for third straight win

SHADOW, Thangmeiband overwhelmed YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong by 119 runs for the third Group B win on the trot in the 5 th MNCA Women's Senior One Day Trophy and assured themselves of a place in the semis.
Opting to bat first at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, SHADOW added 184 runs for 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and bundled out YPHUC for a paltry total of 65 runs in 19.5 overs.
Thokchom Loidangton produced a masterful knock of an unbeaten 79 off 62 balls laden with 6 fours and 3 sixes to help SHADOW raise the commanding total.
Loidangton raised 40 runs for the first wicket with M Chingkheileima (18 off 28 balls) before adding 39 runs with S Kebriya (24 off 14 balls) for the second wicket before sharing the most significant 94-run partnership with Thoudam Mangalsana (38 off 21 balls).
Viviene Laishram was also unbeaten on 2 at the end of the innings.
Usham Saliza (1/41), Lembisana Kongjengbam (1/ 22), and Eriklembi Soubam (1/51) picked a wicket apiece for YPHUC in the first innings before they fell flat at 65 in reply.
Only Waikhom Suchitra (28 off 36 balls) and Tongbram Nilky Devi (17 off 16 balls) made double digit scores for YPHUC in their dismal chase.
For SHADOW, M Chingkheilembi returned with the best bowling figures of 3/11 in her spell of 4 overs that include 2 maidens as Thoudam Mangalsana (1/13), H Priyanshee (1/12), Sapam Kebriya (1/1) and Th Victoria (1/1) chipped in with a wicket apiece.
M Chingkheileima, who starred with both the bat and ball, was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU ground, FORCE, Kshetrigao crushed ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound by 9 wickets for the second Group A victory in three matches.
FORCE chose to field first and bowled out ESU for 32 runs courtesy of Nazmin Khanam's 8-wicket haul (8/6 in 4 overs) and cruised to the target in just 4 overs riding on the unbeaten second wicket stand between Mehanaz (9 off 12 balls) and Rahamatun (12 off 12 balls) .
Nazmin Khanam, who impressed with the ball, was eventually declared player of the match.
