33rd AH Manipur Shooting Competition : RK Chetananda, P Bidyaluxmi clinch 10m rifle championship gold medals

Rajkumar Chetananda and Pukhrambam Bidyaluxmi sealed the men and women's individual 10m rifle championship titles in the 33rd All Manipur Shooting Competition that came to a close today at Manipur Rifle Association's (MRA) Shooting Range at Taothong.
RK Chetananda of Imphal West District Rifle Association (IWDRA) shot 386 points to collect the gold medal in the said championship as MRA's Dhanajit and Huidrom John shot 384 and 369 points to take the silver and bronze medals respectively.
RK Chetananda and Dhanajit were also adjudged first and second in the junior men's competition as Nongthombam Vedaant of IWDRA settled for the bronze medal with 378 points.
RK Chetananda, Dhanajit and Vedaant were also placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the subyouth and youth men's categories.
Pukhrambam Bidyaluxmi of IWDRA in the meantime shot 389 points to seal the women's gold as Ningthemcha Sweety of Imphal East District Rifle Association (IEDRA) picked the silver medal with 383 points.
Both Bidyaluxmi and Sweety were also adjudged winner and runner up in the junior women's category with the same points.
Sweety meanwhile earned the sub-youth women's individual 10 m rifle gold with the 383 point finish as Thingom Rakhimanju of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre and Hawaibam Lanchenbi of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School shot 342 and 339 points to settle for the silver and bronze medals.
Sweety was also adjudged first in the youth women's competition as Naorem Jeneva of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School and Loktongbam Tulika of Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre finished second and third respectively with 360 and 350 points.
25 m Centre Fire Pistol Championship
Pangambam Kunjabihari of IEDRA sealed both the senior and masters men's individual 25 m Centre Fire Pistol Championship of the competition.
Kunjabihari shot 267 points to seal the top honour in both the categories as Laiphrakpam Rajesh of IWDRA shot 260 points and Ashem Kennedy of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School shot 257 points to finish second and third in the masters' event.
Naorem Khandajit of IWDRA meanwhile secured the silver medal in the senior men's championship amassing 265 points while MRA's Sapam Chingkhei Hunba bagged the bronze medal with a 264-point finish.
25 m Sports Pistol
Naorem Khandajit of IWDRA also won the senior men's 25 m Sports Pistol competition by collecting 275 points as Amakcham Yohenba of MRA and Sinam Somorendro of IWDRA shot 273 and 272 points to settle for the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
Amakcham Yohenba of MRA meanwhile won the gold medals in both the youth men's and junior men's categories with the same score.
Ashem Jupiter of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School however claimed the silver medal in the junior men's category scoring 268 points while Aheibam Siddhartha bagged the bronze medal with 255 points.
Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre's RK Sweety meanwhile claimed the gold medal in the 25 m Sports Pistol competition for youth women by scoring 234 points.
25 m Pistol C'ship
Irengbam Reema of Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) meanwhile earned the senior women's individual 25 m Pistol Championship gold medal tallying 263 points while Khulern Nikita of National Sports University (NSU) shot 261 points and Labuktongbam Minerva gathered 258 points to seal the silver and bronze respectively.
Open Sight 50 m Rifle 3 P
K Ashish Sharmaof MRA won the senior men's Open Sight 50 m Rifle 3 P competition gold medal scoring best 434 points as compatriot Huidrom John earned the silver medal with a 427-point finish.
50 m Pistol Championship
IEDRA's P Kunjabihari also clinched the gold medal in both the senior men's and masters men's 50 m Pistol Championships.
Kunjabihari shot 246 points to earn the top honour as Amakcham Yohenba of MRA and Hericonba Mangangcha of MR A settled for die senior men's silver and bronze with 241 and 235 points respectively.
Ashem Kennedy of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School and Laiphrakpam Rajesh of IWDRA meanwhile sealed the masters men's silver and bronze by posting 232 and 227 points respectively.
Amakcham Yohenba of MRA on the other hand claimed the junior men's 50 m Pistol Championship gold with a 241- point finish as Leihaothabam Rishiraj of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre (240 pts) and Hericonba Mangangcha of MRA (235 pts) settled for the silver and bronze medals.
Khulem Nikita of NSU however amassed 231 points to win the gold medal in the women's championship as Pukhrambam Sophiya shot 228 points to seal the silver medal and Minerva Labuktongbam of Bishnupur District shot 225 points to win the bronze.
50 m Rifle 3 Position Championship
K Asish Sharma of MRA was crowned the 50 m Rifle 3 Position Championship winner for senior men as he tallied 558 points as compatriots H John and Kshetrimayum Sova settled for the silver and the bronze medals with 545 and 542 points.
