Imphal, January 25 2026: Hosts Bihar took a staggering 763-run lead against Manipur at the close of Day 4 of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy Plate Group Final by adding 421 runs on Day 4 at Moin Ul Haq Stadium, Patna.

Resuming the day from the overnight score of 84/2 (in 25 overs), Piyush Kumar, who was 32 not off 63 deliveries till yesterday, stood his ground to script an unbeaten double century to take Bihar to the second innings total of 505/5 (in 118 overs) at stumps on Day 4 .

Providing an able assistance to Piyush Kumar was Pratap, who blazed 11 fours and 2 sixes on the way to his unbeaten 90 off 109 balls.

Earlier in the morning session, Bihar lost Akash Raj on 20 off 42 to Jotin Pheiroijam before Khalid 81 off 116 and Piyush Kumar took on Manipuri bowlers to forge a remarkable fourth wicket partnership of 128 runs (off 208 balls) that ended with Ng Johnson bowling out Khalid.

Piyush Kumar then found a good partner in Bipin Saurabh as the duo added another significant 118 runs off 115 balls until Bipin holed out to Al Bashid off the bowling of Kishan Singh for the fifth wicket on a 55-ball 52 .

Pratap and Piyush then went hammer and tongs to stitch an unbeaten 162-run partnership off 197 balls to guide Bihar to a huge lead.
