Imphal, July 24 2025: Manipur continued their impressive run in the Junior Boys' National Football Championship for the Dr BC Roy Trophy 2025-26, registering a slender 1-0 victory over Karnataka in their final Group C encounter on Thursday.

The win ensured a flawless group stage campaign for the state squad, who won all three of their matches and booked their place directly in the semifinals.

The decisive moment came in the 10th minute, when Khutleibam Sultan found the back of the net with a composed finish, which ultimately proved to be the match-winner.

Despite sustained pressure from Karnataka in search of an equaliser, Manipur's defence remained disciplined and resolute, preserving their clean sheet and securing all three points.

The result not only extended Manipur's winning streak but also underscored their ability to deliver under pressure.

With nine points from three matches, they finish atop Group C and will now face Delhi in the semifinals on July 28, 2025.The forthcoming clash promises to be a compelling contest, as Manipur aim to carry their momentum forward and move one step closer to claiming the prestigious national title.
