RCA, MPSC, KCC, RULE win in 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy

RCA, Lilong; MPSC; KCC, Kongba Bazar and RULE, Meitram emerged victorious in today's matches of the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy.
At Moijing Public Ground, RCA beat CHAMP Cricket Club, Khagempalli by 33 runs thanks to Naesh Hussain, Zamir Khan and Aziz Mirza.
RCA opted to bat first and posted 150 runs for 9 wickets in 17 overs before as Md Alfash 37 off 34 and Naesh Hussain 28 off 13 balls led the strike before bowling out CHAMP CC for 117 runs in 16 overs despite Samir's 27-ball 42 as Naesh Hussain (3/13), Zamir Khan (3/24) and Aziz Mirza (3/29) shared 9 wickets among themselves.
Naesh was eventually named man of the match.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, KCC amassed 110 runs for 6 wickets and restricted AKSDO, Khangabok to 97 for 6 wickets to seal a 13 run victory.
Wahengbam Somorjit (27 off 28), Ningombam Tony (26 off 33) and Keisham Basantakumar (23 not out off 16) led the scoring for KCC in the first innings that saw Saikhom Kaiku (3/13) and Ningthoujam Sanayai (2/28) sharing 5 wickets between them for AKSDO.
In reply, M Chinglensana 34 off 44, N Sanayai 18 off 22 and Kh Khamba 10 off 15 not out emerge highest run getters for AKSDO as W Somorjit (2/11) and K Basantakumar (2/24) shared two wickets apiece for KCC.
W Somorjit was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile, MPSC beat Blue Hawk, Khurai by 25 runs.
Put in to bat first, MPSC amassed 133/3 in the allotted 15 overs thanks to a 34-ball 52 from Potsangbam Bonem and Soibam Kingson's 31-ball 46 not out before Oinam Rojit (2/22) and Md Farijuddin (2/12) led the frugal bowling attack for the team and restricted Blue Hawk to 108/ 6 in the chase.
For Blue Hawk, N Jackiechan, H Samsung and W Samson picked a wicket apiece before N Jackiechan 27 not out off 22 balls and Mutum Sudhir 22 off 15 balls emerged top run getters in a lost cause.
Bonem who smashed a half century was named player of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, RULE sealed a 29 run victory against ESU, Wangkhei by defending a modest total of 131 runs for 7 wickets.
Asked to bat first RULE managed 131 on the back of Jay Singh's 37-ball 50 and Sanjenbam Suresh's 26-ball 29 as Thokchom Nishikanta (2/17) led the ESU bowling attack.
In reply, ESU's Th Nishikanta 22 not out off 24 balls, Y Shivajit 21 off 27 and Ch Mehul Shreth 20 off 26 did their best but they ended up gathering 102/8 as N Sarojkumar (2/13) and Jay Singh (2/15) led the economical bowling effort of RULE.
Jay Singh who starred with both the bat and ball was named man of the match.
