Cricket: RCA, Model Club post wins at Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy

Imphal, January 23 2020: RCA Lilong beat Oscar Paona Bazar by 81 runs while Model Club Chingamakha crushed PTCC Patsoi by 104 runs in today's matches of the 2nd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2020.In the first match at Model Higher Secondary & Oriental College Ground, Model Club won the toss and elected to bat first to secure 203 runs for four wickets in 30 overs while PTCC scored 99 runs with all wickets down in 23 overs.

Abhijen of Model Club took 102 runs (not out) and downed 2 wickets to be declared the man of the match.

Abhijen took the most runs, 102 off 91 balls and remained not out.

His team mates Biyon and Suson made 20 runs from 36 balls and 35 runs off 33 balls respectively.

Grenson and Benjon took 4 runs and 1 runs respectively from 7 balls.

For PTCC, L Amao Singh scored 18 runs off 23 balls while Tanisq and Pursaraj scored 11 runs off 29 balls and 10 runs off 16 balls respectively.

Bryan, Gung Gung, Priyokumar, Karnajit and Srinibash took 9, 3, 2, 2 and 1 run respectively.

Abhijen, Grenson, Ishan and Lamjing took 2 wickets each for Model Club while Suson downed 1 wicket.

RK Bryan, Gung Gung and Nikhil scalped 1 wicket each for PTCC.

In the second match at Luwangpokpa Ground, RCA won the toss and batted first to score 196 runs for seven wickets in 30 overs while Oscar succumbed with only 115 runs for 10 wickets in 25.1 overs.

Arish of RCA took 81 runs off 48 balls and was named the man of the match while Lliyash took 46 runs (46 balls).

Irfan, Zamir, Alfash, Saad and Pravesh took 2, 5, 1, 11 and 19 runs respectively for RCA.

For Oscar, Ankeshwer, Santosh, Rishi, Reichen, Chandreshor, Rajkumar, Jadu Mitra, Premkumar and Upamanukumar took 5, 5, 1, 1, 3, 26, 12, 11 and 8 runs respectively.

While Pravesh of RCA scalped 3 wickets, Imtiyash, Arish and Zamir scalped two wickets each.

Kaushal of Oscar downed 5 wickets while team mates Reichen and Chandreshor scalped 1 wicket each.
