Goals galore as UBSA thump KFC 4-2 in Kakching 1st Divn League opener

Imphal, September 22 2025: UBSA, Mantak edged past KFC, Kakching by 4-2 goals as the 20th KK Memorial 1st Division Football League kicked off at DSA Kakching playground.

The tournament organised by District Sports Association Kakching is featuring 11 teams clubbed into two groups.

The two sides started the Group A opening match neck and neck but UBSA entered the break with a 3-2 lead before securing the 4-2 win courtesy of a double from Livon Joseph.

Arkelis drew first blood early in the 6th minute to give KFC the lead but Karung Singjeichung scored the equaliser for UBFC in the 12th minute before Ngamneiring Kom turned things around with a brilliant finish in the 37th minute.

The scoring spree continued with Livon Joseph scoring another in a span of two minutes to make it 3-1 .

Arkelis however pulled back one more goal in the 41st minute to keep the competition alive.

Despite attempts to draw level, KFC slumped with Livon Joseph scoring his second in the 76th minute for UBSA.

Although KFC fought hard to reduce the margin and UBSA tried to add to their lead, the defence on both side emerged supreme to deny any alteration in the scoreline.

IYA, Kakching will play AIFA, Irengband in the Group B opener tomorrow.

The match starts at 2.45 pm .
