Imphal, July 22 2025: Chingrihor Shatshang of Ukhrul will square off against Thokchom Thoiba of Thoubal in the title clash of U-19 men's 50 kg category in the ongoing State Level Boxing Championships.

Chingrihor Shatshang dominated Bishnupur's Wahengbam Amaraj 5-0 via unanimous decision in the first semi-final clash at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena today to seal his place in the final before Thokchom Thoiba notched up an RSC (Referee Stops Contest) win against Ngangbam Joychand of Imphal East in the other semi-final bout.

Earlier, Irom Kangleiwang of Imphal West got a walkover win against Bishnupur's Ch Bhogendra to set up an U-17 boys' 63 kg final date with Khundom Lanchenba of Imphal East who prevailed 5-0 against Yengkhom Avinash in the first semi-final match.

Khaidem Lanchenba of Kakching in the meantime will face Sandham Victor of Imphal East in the U-l 7 boys' 60 kg final.

Lanchenba thumped Ngathingshang Valui of Ukhrul 4-1 via split decision in the first semi-final bout before Victor sealed an RSC win against Imphal West's Ch Sanatomba.

Other U-17 Boys' semifinal results

Pungshumbam Abhinash of Imphal East entered the 57 kg category final with a walkover win against Bishnupur's L Shenebas and will play Khangchrakpam Mangal of Imphal West who outlasted L Lanthoiba of Kakching 3-2 via split decision earlier in the first semi-final bout.

Salam Diamond of Imphal West meanwhile overwhelmed O Khagemba of Kakching 5-0 via unanimous decision to set up 54 kg category final date with Md Alam who sealed an RSC win in the first round against Bishnupur's Y Lenin.

Wangthoi Chirom of Imphal West andThongram Manithoiba of Thoubal also sealed identical 5-0 win respectively against A Suraj of Bishnupur and Gershom Awungshi of Ukhrul enter 52 kg category final as Laishangbam Uningba of Imphal West outlasted N Akaba of Imphal East 3-2 and M Lanchenba of Kakching overwhelmed Rinngasung Vashi of Ukhrul to enter 50 kg category final.

In the 48 kg category semifinal bouts staged earlier, Lairenlakpam Ambedkar of Imphal East sealed an RSC win against Th Rishav of Thoubal while Worthyso Vashi of Ukhrul outlasted Oinam Rajesh of Bishnupur 3-2 via split decision.

In the 46 kg category semifinal bouts, Usham Thouna Luwang of Imphal East overwhelmed L Abungo of Bishnupur 5-0 via unanimous decision as Maisnam Renson of Kakching got a walkover win against L Jackson of Churachandpur.

Konthoujam Raju vs Yumlembam Sanathoiba in U-15 boys' 61 kg final

The day also saw Konthoujam Raju and Yumlembam Sanathoiba securing U-15 boys' 61 kg final berths with identical 4-1 win against Thokchom Nitish of Kakching and Chesam Jayed of Thoubal respectively.

Laishram Nongjenkhomba of Imphal East also entered 55 kg final with a walkover win against L Mangal as Shangmei Khayi of Ukhrul sealed an RSC win against Saikhom Rojit of Thoubal and Thangjam Jerison of Imphal East overwhelmed Naorem Outran of Kakching 5-0 in the 55 kg category semi-final bouts.

Nongmaithem Thoithoiba of Bishnupur in the meantime beat L Bikash of Thoubal to set up the 49 kg category final date with Khundom Robert who outshone Chongtham Bijayraj of Kakching 5-0 via unanimous decision in the other semi-final bout.
