Imphal, February 22 2025: The 8-game winning streak of PTRC-Patsoi Part IV in the 9th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2024-25 came to an end as they played out a rare 153-run tie with Model Club, Chingamakha in a last over thriller today at Moijing Public Ground.

Put in to bat first, PTRC batters faced stiff opposition and were bundled out for a lowly total of 153 runs for 10 wickets in 32.1 overs.

Chasing 154 for the win, Model Club batters also had a hard time facing star studded PTRC bowling line up and were one run away from the win when Bijenkumar got run out in the last delivery of the chase (40 overs) .

Loitongbam Shitaljit 39, RK Rex 32 and Khangembam Santosh 26 were the leading run getters for PTRC in an innings that saw Langlon-yamba (4/25 in 7.1 overs) and Waikhom Priyokumar (3/53 in 8 overs) sharing 7 wickets for Model Club.

In reply, Bijenkumar scored highest 45 as Anand Naorem 28, Langlonyamba 28 and Wahengbam Kisan 27 made significant contributions.

RK Rex led the bowling attack for PTRC claiming three wickets (3/19) as Deepak (2/18) and Pheiroijam Tamarland (2/39) shared four wickets.

Meitankeishangbam Langlonyamba who picked four wickets and added crucial 28 runs was adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, CHAMP Cricket Club, Khagempalli sealed a 2-wicket win over CRAU, Khamnam Bazar.

CRAU opted to bat first after winning the toss and posted a total of 173 runs for all wickets down in 38.3 overs thanks to Lamabam Jotin's 58-ball 55 and Khumanthem Prakash's 31 but CHAMP fought their way to the winning 174/8 in 39.4 overs despite Lamabam Ajay's five four (5/9 in 8 overs) for CRAU.

Nawaz (3/17), Md Ahsanul Kabir (2/16), Md Sultan Karim (2/21) and Keisham Kennedy (2/33) shared 9 wickets for CHAMP in the first innings before Leikhram Johny 43, Md Ahsanul Kabir 40 not out and Yumnam Karnajit 30 set up the victory.

Ahsanul Kabir was eventually adjudged player of the match.
