4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament : NCA Nambol, KSDO Kiyamgei secure spots in round of 8, complete quarterfinal line-up

Quarterfinals line-up has been completed for the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25 with NCA Nambol and KSDO Kiyamgei securing the remaining spots for the round of eight today.
In the last two pre-quarterfinal matches today, NCA Nambol stunned YPHUC Lalambung Makhong by a massive 101 runs, and KSDO Kiyamgei beat PTCC Patsoi Part-III by 5 wickets.
The quarterfinals will be played on February 22 and February 23 .
On February 22, AMCA Thoubal will face KSDO Kiyamgei at SEDOC Ground Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

RCA Lilong will go against NCA Nambol at Khudeiband Lampak Taothong.
On February 23, AKSDO Khangabok will meet AL-AMEEN Lilong at SEDOC Ground Dhobi Lampak.
YWC Langthabal will face SHADOW Thangmeiband at Khudeiband Lampak Taothong.
Semifinals will be played on February 25 .
The winners of the semifinals will play in the final for the title on February 28 at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak. Pre-quarterfinal matches today
NCA vs YPHUC
At Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong, YPHUC Lalambung Makhong won the toss and opted to field first.
NCA Nambol capitalised on the chance to face the ball first and amassed a total of 154 runs for 10 wickets in 27.3 overs.
In reply, YPHUC managed to score only 53 runs for 10 wickets in 17.5 overs giving NCA an easy win.
In NCA's knock of 154 runs, Ngangom Likash contributed 33 runs off 29 balls.
Ahenba Longjam (9/19), Thongam Rahul (6/4), Anderson Naorem (16/24), Leishemba Meitankeishangbam (3/4), Thingbaijam Avinash (24/25), Thiyam Bikash (14/22), Chanam Birendrakumar Singh (1/2), Huidrom Pibarel (4/6) and James Wahengbam(4/9) contributed runs.
YPHUC's Konsam Mangal Singh took 3 wickets.
Purujit Mutum and Loitongbam Joychandra Singh took 2 wickets each, and Jangammei Maringmei, Yaioiba Ningombam and Loktongbam Tomthilnganba took 1 wicket each.
In YPHUC's failed chase for the target, only Purujit Mutum (10/17) scored a 2-digit run.
Beside Purujit, only Loktongbam Tomthilnganba (1/4), Pukhrambam Poireingamba Meitei (3/29), Loitongbam Joychandra (1/11) and Gurumayum Karunish (2/27) could score runs for YPHUC.
NCA's Ahenba Longjam emerged the best bowler taking 6 wickets.
His teammates, Thingbaijam Avinash and Thongam Rahul took 2 wickets each.
KSDO vs PTCC
At PTRC Ground Patsoi Part-IV, PTCC Patsoi Part III won the toss and elected to bat first to score a total of 100 runs for 10 wickets in 25.1 overs.
KSDO Kiyamgei completed the chase and scored 101 for 5 wickets in 21.4 overs to win the match.
In PTCC's score of 100, Polenjit Mayengbam (15/19), Somobanta (15/12), Ningombam Roberson (10/27), Harishor Mayengbam (12/27), Hirachandra Laitonjam (2/7), Nungchengba Soraisam (15/21), Olen Laitonjam (8/21), Khilchandra Laitonjam (2/7) and Lanngamba Ningombam (4/4) contributed runs.
Venison Yumnam (0/8) and Silheiba Laishram (0/1) failed to score any runs.
KSDO's Md Adanan Raj took 4 wickets.
Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan took 3 wickets.
Mohammed Gunbas and Kh Firdos took 1 wicket each.
In KSDO's chase, Kh Firdos knocked an impressive 36 runs off 54 to help his team beat PTCC.
Mohammed Gunbas (16/10), Sheikh Anzar Ahmed (11/35), Khutheiba Abu Sufiyan (10/16), Sangomsumpham Arish (8/16), Mohammed Zuneid Shah (2/3) contributed runs to KSDO's winning knock of 101 runs.
PTCC's Lanngamba Ningombam and Hirachandra Laitonjam took 2 wickets each, and Harishor Mayengbam took 1 wicket.
