3rd MNCA Women's T-20 Trophy : AKSDO go top of Group B with 9-wicket thrashing of YPHUC

Imphal, June 19 2025: AKSDO, Khangabok consolidated themselves on top of Group B table in the 3rd MNCA Women's T-20 Trophy with a 9-wicket win over YPHUC, Lalambung in the final group match.

It was their third straight win in four matches after their opening match against PTRC was an abandoned match due to rain.

YPHUC opted to bat first after winning the toss at THAU ground, Thangmeiband but were dismissed for a meagre total of 41 runs in 17.3 overs by AKSDO bowlers before they chased down the target in just 3.5 overs.

Khundrakpam Rabina (2/5 in 3 overs), Khundrakpam Lucyrani (2/9 in 4 overs), Khundrakpam Bijiya (2/7 in 4 overs), Thokchom Langlen (2/9 in 4 overs) and Takhellambam Henthoisana (2/9 in 2.3 overs) all picked two wickets apiece to dismantle YPHUC in the first innings.

Only Waikhom Suchitra 13 not out off 36 balls was the double digit run getter for the Lalambung side before Alish Thokchom 19 not out off 12 balls sealed the victory for AKSDO after forging 41 -runs for the first wicket with Khundrakpam Olebia 16 off 9 balls who was undone by W Suchitra in the 3rd delivery of the fourth over.

Thokchom Alish was adjudged player of the match.

In the Group A match staged earlier in the day, PTCC, Patsoi saved blushes to beat SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 5 runs and end their group campaign with 2 wins in a rain curtailed match.

PTCC racked up 87 runs for 1 wicket in 10 overs thanks to Laishram Teresa's 32-ball 47 (5 fours and 1 six) and Thoudam Mangalsana's 26-ball 29 not out (2 fours and 1 six).

Sapam Kebriya Devi picked the only wicket in this innings before she produced a spirited batting performance to add 45 off 34 balls in the chase.

Victoria Thokchom 6 off 8 balls and Moirangthem Nirupama 2 off 3 balls were unbeaten as SHADOW closed out the chase at 82/2.Hijam Sijapiyari (1/10) and Khundrakpam Angoubi (1/13) chipped in a wicket apiece for PTCC in this innings.

Laishram Teresa was adjudged player of the match.
