Senior Women's State Volleyball C'ship : SCYC, MPSC emerge group winners unbeaten

Imphal, September 18 2025: The semifinal line up of the 49th Senior Women's State Volleyball Championship 2025 has been completed today with SCYC, Senjam Chirang; SDVA, Senapati; MPSC and KYLSC, Kachikhul emerging group winners and runners up after round robin league.

MPSC emerged Group A winners sweeping the league round with straight sets wins as SDVA secured two wins to finish group runners up.

MPSC opened the winning account with a 25-5, 25-10, 25-10 win over MRC, Mairenkhong before defeating SDVA 25-15, 25-17, 25-7 for the second win and CYCC, Chandel 25-20, 25-12, 25-12 for the third victory.

SDVA meanwhile defeated CYCC 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-22 for their first win and eased to a 25-13, 25-10, 25-20 win over MRC for the second win.

The day also saw CYCC beat MRC 25-22, 25-12, 25-12 in a Group A match.

Meanwhile in the Group B competition (league round), SCYC beat KYLSC 25-11, 25-18, 25-20 for their first win before defeating MECKLEY, Pangaltabi 25-11, 25-17, 25-12 .

KYLSC later defeated MECKLEY 25-12, 25-13, 25-8 to squeeze into the semis as group runners up.

The semi-final and final matches are scheduled tomorrow at Khuman Lampak.
