Khongman Fencing Academy crowned team champions of 4th IE District Fencing C'ship

Imphal, May 17 2026:
Khongman Fencing Academy (KFA) were crowned as the team champions of the 4th Imphal East District Fencing Championship hosted by the Imphal East District Fencing Association at Khuman Lampak Fencing Hall.
KFA secured as many as 84 points off 9 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze medals at the four day championship as POLOI, Chingarel Tejpur finished overall first runners up team with a haul of 7 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals (77 points) and YDO, Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai finished overall second runners up team with 8 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals (64 points) .

KFA girls contributed 5 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals off the total 30 medals and deservingly sealed the girls' overall crown while the boys' team of KHSC, Khongman bagged 5 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals to claim the overall title in the segment (boys) .
Final Day Highlight
The final day of the championship saw POLOI securing 2 gold in the sub-junior boys' Foil and sub-junior girls' Epee competition as MIISIKHOL, SEYO, YDO and KFA claimed a gold medal apiece.
Dorando Thangjam of POLOI defeated KFA's Henthoiba Soibam for the foil gold medal as T Korounganba of YDO and L Lankonba of YDO settled for the bronze medal.
Reo of MIISIKHOL, on the other hand, won the gold medal in the sub-junior boys' Epee competition by defeating Balmiki of KFA in the final.
Baniba of POLOI and Soraren of KFA were the bronze medallists in this category.
SEYO's N Richtopper, meanwhile, beat N Dexter of YDO for the Sabre title as L Khumanlakpa of SEYO and G Sinlemba of KHSC sealed the bronze medals.
The sub-junior girls' Foil gold medal in the meantime went to Ch Jereena of YDO, who beat N Joshlin of KFA in the final as Princy Kh of MIISIKHOL and Yurica P of KHSC settled for the bronze medals.
Chilsilla Sagolsem on the other hand won POLOI the second gold medal by defeating compatriot Bindiya in the final.
MIISIKHOL's H Loyangambi and KFA's Dashita bagged the bronze medal in this category.
Sub-junior girls' Sabre gold, in the meantime, went to KFA's Thaja Okram who defeated KHSC's Erica Nongmaithem in the title clash.
Selina Saikhom of KFA and Ningthoujam Bebicha of KHSC shared the bronze medal podium in this category.
The day also witnessed KHSC's Th Kishorjit getting the better of compatriot Ng Mangangba to claim the Cadet Boys' Sabre gold.
N Dexter of YDO and L Khumanlakpa of SEYO shared the bronze medal podium in this category.
