Imphal, May 17 2025: Huidrom Rishi of SRBA-A sealed the Elite Men's 50 kg category title in the ongoing 3rd Imphal West District Boxing Championship at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena today.

Rishi got the better of Angom Naresh of PBA in the final to earn the title.

Meanwhile, Khangchrakpam Premchand of STC-Imphal beat Deepsan Soibam to seal the U-19 Men's 70 kg category title as Khoirom Johnson beat Takhellambam Malem for the 60 kg category title and Chongtham Naoba of IND beat Th Khongnang of SRBA-A for the 55 kg title.

The day also saw Khangchrakpam Mangal of SRBA-A win the U-17 Boys' 57 kg category title by beating S Jackyson of SRBA-B as NSA's Salam Diamond beat Arnold of SRBA-A for the 54 kg title, Chirom Wangthoi of SRBA-A beat Ankit Koirala of STC-Utlou for the 5? kg title and Laishangbam Uningba beat Mandengbam Nongdrenkhomba of STC-Utlou for the 50 kg title.

Waikhom Prithibiraj of SRBA-A in the meantime sealed the U-15 Boys' 58 kg category title beating Yumnam Lamjingba of SRBA-B in the final today.

Leichombam Lamnganba of STC Utlou and Sanatomba Chirom of PBA were meanwhile emerged Elite Men's 55 kg and U-17 Boys' 60 kg category winners without breaking any sweat as their rivals did not turn up and eventually earned walkover victories.

Final line up for as many as five different weight categories of the U-15 Boys competition were also completed today.

Thoudam Nicholas of MKBA defeated IND's Sapam Ghanashyam to set up U-15 Boys' 55 kg final date with NSA's Khwairakpam Nelson who outlasted Heisnam Ngouba of SRBA-A in the other semi-final bout.

In the 52 kg category semifinal matches, Sapam Mayolsana of MSBA beat Gurumayum Jekshon of PBA and Wahengbam Wakheiba of SRBA-A beat Shamjetshabam Loyangamba of SRBA-B .

In the 49 kg category semifinal bouts, Ningthoujam Kishan of STC-Utlou outlasted Thongbam Rishikesh of IND as Gurumayum Maiken of MKBA beat Gurumayum Newton of PBA.

In the 46 kg category semifinal matches, Naorem Chinglemba of STC-Utlou beat Leimapokpam Paikhomba Meitei of IND as Akham Bishorjit of IND got the better of NSA's Waikhom David.

Naorem Fajaba of NSA and Huidrom Malem of SRBA-A meanwhile reached the 43 kg category final beating Sarungbam Daniel of IND and Shagolshem Manimatum of MSBA respectively.

Riya Heikam of STC-Imphal meanwhile sealed a place in the U-17 Girls' 50 kg final by beating SRBA-A's Mandengbam Priyaluxmi as Phuritshabam Renuka of STC-Imphal got a walkover win against IND's Chingakham Kiran in a 48 kg semi-final category clash for U-19 Girls.
