25th State Senior Basketball Championships : CDC, ESU crowned men and women's champions

Imphal, November 16 2025: CDC, Sagolband and ESU, Wangkhei were crowned the men and women's champions of the 25th State Senior Basketball Championships organised by the Manipur Basketball Association at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court.

In the 11-team men's tournament final, CDC rode on leading performances from Revoljit (22 pts), Krishnacharya (20 pts), Jackson (16 pts), and Tutu (11 pts) to seal an 89-86 win over ESU.

Borish, Markandev and Algog also scored 6 points apiece in CDC's win as Akash added 2 points.

Meanwhile, Kaasper and Th Newton scored 19 points apiece while GA Bash (17 pts), H Rishikanta (14 pts), Tyrese (13 pts), and L Boi (4 pts) followed suit.

ESU were leading 26-16 in the opening period but CDC drew level after two periods by adding 26 points against ESU's 16 in the second period.

CDC then enjoyed a 3 point lead after three periods as they added 25 points against ESU's 22 before CDC added 21 points and ESU added 22 points in the final period.

Meanwhile in the women's final, Surmita shone with a 25-point finish to guide ESU to a 54-37 win over YOSC, Khurai.

Lakshmi also managed a double digit figure for ESU adding 13 points while Omega was the third highest contributor with 9 points to her name.

Hiron (3 pts), Sanatombi (2 pts), and Lucybina (2) also registered their names on the scoresheet for ESU.

Ksh Tija meanwhile led the scoring for YOSC on 14 points as her teammates S Esther scored 8 points, Tutu and Jannat scored 6 points apiece, and Tulika added 3 points.
