Imphal, November 16 2015: SAI-Imphal took the lead on the second day of the 18th, 19th and 20th Senior State Level Weightlifting Championships, organised by the Khaidem Leikai Young Development Club (KLYDC), Wangoi, today at Wangoi Mamang Khaidem Leikai.

In the 53 kg youth girls' event, S Bindyarani Devi (SAI-Imphal) lifted 162 (69+93) kg to clinch the first position while P Ranibala (NSA) - 132 kg and L Nilam (KIMYC) - 114 bagged the second and third positions respectively.

Kh Nungshiton Chanu emerged the champion in the 58 youth girls' event after she lifted 156 (71+85) kg while Ch Nirmala (KAY & CO) lifted 151 kg and 124 kg respectively to bag the second and third placed titles.

In the 63 kg youth girls' event, S Babina (KIMYC)- 137 kg won the first position while P Umeshori Devi (SAI-U) - 124 kg and Kh Naobi Devi (ILC) - 88 kg stood at second and third positions respectively.

In the 69 kg youth girls' group, Kh Sarjubala Devi (KLYDC) - 195 kg, S Nirupama (KAY&CO) - 158 kg and N Sapana (GMC) - 119 kg won the first, second and third positions respectively.

In the 69+ kg youth girls' event, A Tumina Devi (SAI-I) - 158 kg, P Sanathoi (SAI-U) - 132 kg and N Chaoba (KPC) - 108 kg clinched the first, second and third placed titles respectively.

M Ajoy Singh (SAI-I) claimed the title of junior boys' 56 kg after he lifted 190 (80+110) kg.

In the junior boys' 62 kg event, M Keshorjit Singh (SAI-U) - 190 kg, K John (SAI-I) - 177 kg and Md Shahbaz Shah (SAI-I) - 145 kg bagged the first, second and third placed titles respectively.

L Sunderjit Singh (SAI-I) - 257 kg clinched the title of junior boys' 77 kg while Kh Narendra Singh (KLYDC) - 195 kg and O Herojit (BLMSE) - 146 kg secured the second and third placed titles.

In the junior boys' 77 kg event, A Arvind Singh (SAI-I) - 235 kg won the first position while S Arvind (KIMYC) - 195 kg bagged the second placed title.

In the junior boys' 85 kg group, M Romanta singh (KPC) - 252 kg and A Thoungamba (GMC) - 215 kg won the first and second placed titles respectively.

In the last event of the day, Ak Nanaobi Singh (YPIS) lifted 220 (100+120) kg to clinch the title of the junior boys' 94 kg.
