3rd MNCA U15 Girls One Day Trophy 2025-26 : Holders AKSDO to defend title against PTRC

Imphal, May 16 2026: Defending champions AKSDO, Khangabok and PTRC, Patsoi will fight it out for the title of the 3rd MNCA U15 Girls One Day Trophy 2025-26 on May 18 at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Holders AKSDO made it to the final today with a 6-wicket thrashing of SHADOW, Thangmeiband at THAU ground while PTRC sealed their final berth by handing last year's runners up THAU an 11-run defeat at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

In a semi-final match that was truncated to 25-over an innings, SHADOW won the toss and posted 96 runs for 5 wickets.

AKSDO, then, cruised to the target in 17.5 overs thanks to Henthoisana Takhellambam, who remained unbeaten on 39 off 44 balls (6 fours) .

Shilhenbi Seram 35 off 77 balls led the scoring for SHADOW earlier in the first innings that saw Lucyrani Khundrakpam of AKSDO clinching three wickets (3/10) .

Konthoujam Shinthoihenbi (2/23) and Hanglem Malemnganbi (2/20) did their best to hold AKSDO in reply but Henthoisana and Lucyrani (18 off 24 balls) forged a major partnership of 49 runs for the fourth wicket to set up the victory.

Lucyrani was eventually adjudged player of the match.

In the other semi-final match that was reduced to 20-over an innings, THAU opted to field first and bundled out PTRC for 75 runs in 19 overs but ended up gathering 64 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in reply.

Wangkhem Nganbi (3/6 in 4 overs), Wangkhem Nganthoi (2/11 in 4 overs) and Mutum Dolly (2/5 in 2 overs) were unstoppable with the ball for THAU in the first innings before their batting department faltered in the chase and Lanchenbi Usham 14 off 20 balls turned out to be the best run getter.

Thokchom Dimple 21 off 32 balls, Laishram Bigyapati 14 off 11 balls and Laitonjam Purnima 11 off 32 balls led the scoring for PTRC today before Laitonjam Silky (3/11 in 4 overs) and Laishram Bigyapati (2/13 in 4 overs) led the frugal bowling attack.

Bigyapati, who shone with both the bat and ball for PTRC, was named player of the match.
