Imphal, September 12 2026: Manipur secured 5 gold including 3 gold medals in the 2nd North East Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2026 hosted by Nagaland in Kohima.

2nd NE Bodybuilding and Physique C'ship : Mishap Khapai, Worthan Lunglo and Pritam Nahakpam bag gold

Mishap Khapai of Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul (65 Kg), Worthan Lunglo of Royal Gymnasium (60 Kg) and Pritam Nahakpam of KMFC, Kumbi (70 kg) finished on top to win bodybuilding gold medals at the championship as M Pihimas of Royal Gymnasium (55 Kg) and Lungreishim Kasar of Royal Gymnasium (60 Kg) settled for third place finishes.

Khoirom Bikramjit of Makar Fitness, Yairipok also finished fifth in the men's bodybuilding competition (80 kg) .

Competing in the Women's Model Physique competition, Phila Yangya of Royal Gymnasium finished fifth.
