KIYC Kshetri Iril Mapal win 5th NIBSO Cup Championship

Imphal, June 10 2015 : KIYC defeated UPSA Pukhao to win the 5th NIBSO Cup District Level Men's open football tournament on Wednesday.

The tournament which took place at FUC Uyumpok playground was delayed after the semi final matches.

KIYC and UPSA Pukhao played the final match with a score of 2 � 0 respectively.

The winner walked away with a cash award of Rs 30 thousand and a trophy while the runners up received a sum of Rs 20 thousand and a trophy.

The tournament is being organised by North Iril Valley Sports Association.

While in the final match both the team KYIC and UPSA failed to score in the first half.

Sohail of KIYC scored the opening goal of the match in the 42nd minute of second half which paved the way for the team's victory.

Siraj scored the second goal of the winning team.

UPSC players tried their best effort to score an equalising goals but KIYC defended and carefully took the lead in the match.

At the end of the match the score board read as 2 -0.Best individual players were also awarded in the prize distribution held today.

Telheiba of NYC Nongdam scored the highest number of goal in the tournament.

Best goalkeeper went to Lanchenba of UPSC Pukhao, best defender goes to Farid of KIYC Kshetri Iril Mapal.

Best player award was received by Boy of KIYC and FUC Uyumpok team won the best fore player.

Th Lokeshore Speaker Manipur Legislative Assembly, Abdul Nasir Fisheries Minister, MLA Dwijamani of Hiyanglam, S Bir MLA Kumbi attended the prize distribution function of the tournament.
