Kapaam DC, Ziontlang SYC extend winning run in Chandel Super Division League

Imphal, September 09 2025: Kapaam DC and Ziontlang SYC extended winning run in DC Chandel Trophy Super Division League to spice up the title race.

In the 8th match of the top tier tournament, Kapaam DC who had drawn once and picked up a win in the previous match, carried forward their winning run with a 4-0 thrashing of Chumbang FC.

Sorormi and Armstrong shone in the match scoring two goals apiece to set up the comprehensive win today against Chumbang FC .

Sorormi gave Kapaam DC the lead in the 14th minute before Armstrong doubled the advantage in the 34th minute.

Sorormi was at it again to make it 3-0 after 68th minute before Armstrong also rose again to further stretch the lead in the 73rd minute.

Later in the 9th match, Ziontlang SYC edged past Chandel Khullen YC in a 5 goal thriller to go top with 10 points off 3 wins and a draw.

Chandel Khullen YC drew first blood in the 13th minute but Chungam made the most of a penalty in the 25th minute to level the scoreline for Ziontlang SYC before his team mate Jeffrey overturned the lead three minutes later.

Chingkingam pulled level for Chandel Khullen YC in the 72nd minute but the parity did not last long as Chungam made sure that Ziontlang SYC seal the 3-2 win with an 80th minute strike.
