7th Khelo India Youth Games : Manipur cap Sepaktakraw campaign with rich haul of six medals including four gold

Manipur beautifully ended their Sepaktakraw campaign in the 7 th Khelo India Youth Games being underway in Bihar with a rich haul of 6 medals including four gold, one silver and one bronze.
Of the 6 medals, women team swept all three gold medals dominating in the team, quadrant and regu events as men's team picked a gold, a silver and bronze medal.
Women's Sepaktakraw team defeated hosts Bihar 15-12, 15-8 in the regu final today to complete their gold medal sweep today while the men's regu team suffered 10-15, 8-15 loss to Nagaland in the semi-final to settle for a bronze medal.
Earlier in the day, Manipur women's team defeated Haryana 15-13, 15-7 to finish as league winners and set up a semi-final date with Andhra Pradesh.
In the semi-final, Manipur defeated Andhra Pradesh 15-9, 15-9 to enter the final.
Meanwhile, Manipur men's team entered the semifinal with a 15-7, 15-10 win over hosts Bihar in the final league round match.
Notably Konjengbam Poni, Longjam Linthoi, Yumnam Malemnganbi, Pangambam Ajoka, Chanam Jennifer, Longjam Chaoba, Pangambam Leingakpi, Elangbam Kamala, Chingangbam Priyanka, Khangem-bam Soma, Khaidem Shelly, Takhelmayum Thoithoibi, Roshila Wangkhem, Chungkham Chaoba and Laishram Silky were in the women's Sepaktakraw team.
The men's team meanwhile consist of Thangsabam Robinson, Hijam Roshan, Waikhom Lenin, Sanasam Roshan, Huidrom Anish, Huidrom Bikash, Nongmaithem Manglemba, Laishram Ajayram, Mutum Ningtamba, Chingabam Basil, Seram Robertson, Elangbam Thoithoiba, Langpoklakpam Action, Irom Deneson and Athokpam Mangal.
With two more medals today, Manipur have won as many as 11 medals (6 in Sepaktakraw, 3 in Judo and 2 in Cycling) .
