PAHULASI emerge team champions of 34th State Sub-junior and Senior Thang-Ta Championship 2025

PAHULASI, Mayaikoibi emerged team champions of the 34th State Sub-junior and Senior Thang-Ta Championship 2025 organised by Huyen Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom.
PAHULASI secured 73.1 points on the back of 17 medals including 9 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze to seal the top honour as Meitei Nongsha Thang-Ta (MNTT), Heirok finished runners up on 51.8 points from 6 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals.
As many as 122 male and 76 female athletes from 28 units across 5 districts competed for top honours in the State level championship that began on July 5 .
Final Day Events
The final day of the championship witnessed athletes competing for top honours in Khonglon-Khutlon, Thang-Haiba and Thanglon events.
N Korounganba of MNTT and Asem Mithoiba made the top two finish in the Thang-Haiba event for Sub-Junior boys while W Heeyaileima of MLKTTCS, Uchekon and K Tisya of TTCA, Moirang finished first and second in the Sub-Junior girls Thang-Haiba event.
Telem Talajit of Tombi Thang-Ta meanwhile sealed the senior men's Thang-Haiba title as M Enunganbi of MNTT earned the senior women's Thang-Haiba gold.
Thanglon title for subjunior boys went to Yumnam Yaihenba of TTM, Yumnam Huidrom as S Ningshinglembi of TTM and M Linthoi of MNTT finished first and second in the subjunior girls' competition.
The day also saw Akoijam Pibaren of Tombi Thang-Ta securing gold in the Sub-Junior boys' Khonglon-Khutlon competition as Laishom Ritika of TTCA, S Leishembi of UHLA and Kh Linthoi of MNTT made the top three podium finishes.
N Mahesh of TTM, Yumnam Huidrom and Sh Engel of UHLA in the meantime secured the first and second places in the senior men's Khonglon-Khutlon competition as Huidrom Rasuni of UHLA sealed the second women's gold in the same event.
The closing ceremony of the four-day championship was attended by social worker, Laishram Tomba; president of HLTTA, Huidrom Premkumar; former secretary of Thang-Ta Federation of India, Thounaojam Priyokumar and secretary of HLTTA, Heikrujam Cha Babu as distinguished guests.
