AKSDO, TRAU and PTRC post first win in 5th Boys U-14 One Day Trophy 2025-26

AKSDO, Khangabok; TRAU, Kwakeithel and PTRC, Patsoi Part IV, who all suffered then-first group stage game loss in the ongoing 5th Boys U-14 One Day Trophy 2025-26, sealed their first win today.
In the Group A match, AKSDO beat SDO, Keirao Makting by 3 wickets at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground.
AKSDO bundled out toss winners SDO for 92 runs within 20.1 overs riding on Khundrakpam Lanchenba (3/ 5 in 2.1 overs), Khundrakpam Boiton (2/9 in 5 overs) and 4 others, and chased down the target in 20.3 overs thanks to Khundrakpam Boiton 20 off 31 balls, Shailesh Khundrakpam 21 off 18 balls and 24 extras conceded by SDO bowlers.
Pukhrimayum Khurshid 20 off 17 balls and Maibam Wahajuddin 14 off 19 balls were the only double digit run getters for SDO earlier in the first innings before Tampakmayum Abdul Rahis (3/15 in 6 overs) and Pukhrimayum Khurshid (2/8 in 3 overs) shared 5 wickets in a lost cause.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, TRAU sealed their first Group B win by defeating FORCE, Kshetrigao by 98 runs.
Electing to bat first TRAU piled up 187 runs for five wickets in the allotted 30 overs courtesy of a huge and an unbeaten half century knock by Keisham Yaikhomba (95 off 112 balls; 11 fours and 2 sixes) before Ringku Moirangthem picked five wickets (5/25 in 6 overs) and Keisham Yaikhomba (2/ 6 in 1.4 overs) led in dismissing FORCE for 89 runs within 14.4 overs.
Maraimayum Syed Farish (2/44) and Epham Muskur (2/30) picked two wickets apiece for FORCE earlier in the first innings before Syed Ashif 41 off 17 balls and Moinam Hafizuddin 13 not out off 18 balls emerged only double digit run getters for the team in reply.
In another match staged at Moijing Public Ground, PTRC beat KCC, Kongba Bazar by 13 runs for then-first Group C win in two games.
PTRC opted to bat first but slumped to 136 runs within 27.4 overs.
The total however proved too big as KCC ended up gathering 123 runs in the chasing.
Witmer Nongmaithem 24 off 71 balls and Priyojit Thongam 23 off 22 balls were the leading run getters for PTRC in the first innings that saw Niyas Khan (4/22 in 6 overs), Gefferson Nameirakpam (3/33 in 5 overs) and Epham Riwaj (2/14 in 5.4 overs) sharing a bulk of 9 wickets for KCC.
In reply, Niyas Khan struck the highest 42 off 45 .
balls for KCC before they crashed at 123 within 28.2 overs with Priyojit Thongjam (5/18 in 5.2 overs) and Ghoutam Chingangbam (4/20 in 6 overs) leading the demolition job for PTRC .
