Gyanendra among Indian gold medallists

This BE MIT student has done it again.
Thokchom Gyanendra was among the Manipuri body builders who shone for India at the 10th WBPF World Body Building and Physique Sports Championship at Chiang Mai in Thailand from December 11 to 17 .
Gyanendra, who is also an arm wrestler, was at his best at the world event to win the men's junior bodybuilding title in the above 75 kg category joining the likes of Arambam Boby (senior men's 80 kg-gold) and L Dinesh (Junior Men's 70 kg-gold) .
Gyanendra@ Benzon, who is currently pursuing Civil Engineering at MIT, Takyelpat has been doing great in the field of bodybuilding for the past few years.
To his credit, Gyanendra was won many titles starting from the college level to the continental event apart from his bright academic career.
Gyanendra have won overall Inter-College physique champion title in the years 2015 and 2016 before emerging as overall champion in Senior Mr Imphal West Body Building Contest 2017 .
He succeeded in maintaining his fine form to win overall junior titles at State level events which include " Mr Kangleipak 2017", "Mr Manipur Khamba 2017" and " Mr Manipur 2017" before fetching gold medal in Mr India 2018 held in Jodhpur from January 7 to 8 .
He missed the podium finish in the Mr Asia 2018 as he finished fourth at the event but his firm determination helped him come back to win the World title in Thailand.
Gyanendro is the son of Th Minindro and Th (O) Manitombi of Heirangoithong Awang Maibam Leikai and is a trainee of Royal Gym, Ningomthong.
