AR plans special band performance at Kangla gate

Imphal, August 11 2025: As part of the celebrations marking India's 79th Independence Day, special band performances by the Assam Rifles will be held at Kangla western gate on August 12, 13 and 15, in between 6:30 pm to 7 pm.

According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, the musical tribute will commemorate the victory of Operation Sindoor, conducted from May 7 to 10, as a response to the dastardly Pahalgam terror attacks.

The performances will feature patriotic tunes and serve as a heartfelt homage to the brave armed forces who carried out precision strikes on terror bases.

The PRO appealed for maximum public participation, to show solidarity and prid e during these momentous celebrations.
