Imphal, October 14 2025: WAQF Board, Manipur has clarified that the notification which has surfaced on social media inviting applications for providing "phisakols" and financial assistance to widows/destitute women for the year 2024-25 is fake/false.

"The notification was issued by some unknown persons misleading the public and maligning the image of Waqf Board Manipur", said WAQF Board, Manipur in a release.

The Board also informed the public that it does not implement schemes of "phisakols" .

In this regard, a complaint has been lodged against those responsible persons at the concerned police station for taking necessary actions accordingly.
