Health fair opens in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, February 11, 2011: Commissioner (Health and Family Welfare) Vumlunmang today said that mobile will be distributed to the health worker (ASHA), speaking at the opening a three-day health fair at Tamenglong Higher Secondary School today.

Asserting that for the remote villagers like that in Tamenglong district there is a great need for ASHA, he said any ASHA who failed to visit the village they were deputed will faced replacement.

The district health fair was organized under the aegis of the District Health Mission Society under the NHRM.

The opening function was attended by additional director Dr N Gulapi of family welfare department, colonel PS Chouhan, commandant 11 AR, additional director Dr L Sharatchandra of health services as guests of honour which was presided by Tamenglong DC K Panmei.
